Ciaran Flannery was out on Lough Erne for a couple of days last week. While pike was the main quarry, himself and Conor Toner also caught a good trout.
In general fishing was slow with high winds and heavy rain. Still, the pair managed to catch 3 pike, biggest being 15lb, all released.
They took a third day to fish from the shore and on that day met this lovely trout which was also released. This beautiful 7.5lb fish took a small silver spoon meant for a pike right off the surface. What a fight it was. They both took turns on the rod and it was a great bonus fish for what had been a couple of wet days on the lake.
