Brian McNally reports on the third match in the Annamoe Trout Fisheries Fly Fishing Winter League….
Twenty anglers competed over four hours in the third Qualifying Heat last Saturday 11th November.
It was a bright cool calm day with the temperature at 6°C.
The trout landed were mostly caught on intermediate lines. Buzzers, Blood Worms and Apts were a good choice on the day. A total of fifty eight fish were landed, measured and returned safely back into the lake. Water temperatures were 7°C.

- 1st. Nicholas Madden 9 trout
- 2nd. Karl Elliott. 7 trout.
- 3rd. Tommy Russell.5 trout
Next heat will be held on 25th November.
