Munster Coarse Anglers fished the third match of their winter series in Portumna at the weekend. Kevin Leahy reports…
The swap back to Portumna for the 3rd match proved to be a good one. Twelve anglers fished in 2 sections; Section1. Salmon Run, Section2.Shebeen.
It was a of case of choose your method and stick to it for this round of the league. The whip proved to be the winning method in both sections. The bigger fish on the feeder line came with bigger disadvantage of attracting the attentions of Pike, and many curses and new swear words peppering the tranquillity of the Galway shore lines.
Thank you to Portumna Coarse Angling Club for letting us on to the venue.
