Notes: Paul has experience fishing the lakes and rivers of Cavan and the surrounding area for over 20 years. He takes his guests by boat to various lakes and rivers to find the best pike with lures and also fly fishing.
He offers accommodation at Angler’s Lodge in Killeshandra and can supply boats, fishing rods, tackle, float tubes as well as guiding. Killeshandra is a Centre of Excellence for Angling in Ireland.
Trinity Island Lodge
There is additional accommodation on Lough Oughter – Trinity Island Lodge. As a guest of Trinity Island lodge, you will have exclusive access to the island, its shores and walkways. Included are 2 boats and engines, 2 Canadian canoes and basic angling gear.

Notes: The best months for trout fishing are April, May, June and September with Lough Arrow being a good venue for dapping a Mayfly and Lough Allen for big trout in September. David also fishes the Shannon and a few secret wild brown trout lakes and river., The Best time for pike is from September to March on various lakes and rivers and David can organise accommodation locally.
