Westward 32 powered by a single 250hp Ford
Skipper: Ciaran Murphy
Base: Valentia Island Licence: Up to three miles to sea and 15 miles along the coast from point of departure from Knightstown, Portmagee, and Cahirciveen.
Our Boat Boy Scott is a 32ft purpose built angling boat. It is powered by a 250hp Ford Mermaid. She is fully licenced by the department of Marine for 10 people and is fitted with all modern safety and navigational equipment.
The Skellig Coast waters are home to a variety of species, rough ground, banks and sand. On an average days fishing, depths are usually between 30 and 70 metres. Most days drift fishing will produce mackerel, codling, pollock, coley, ling and wrasse. Ground fishing will mostly produce conger, ling, pouting and bull huss.
Shorter trips for mackerel fishing, groups or even families for those who may want to only experience a boat trip within the harbour are available.
We also offer short harbour trips, to take in the stunning scenery which Valentia and our surrounding Skellig Coast of the Wild Atlantic Way have to offer.
