Watershed Fly Fishing is owned and operated by Johannes Bulfin who grew up fishing the waters he now guides on. 

As a child the pike, that would often be as long as I was tall, would fill me with awe. Pursuing these monsters, as well as the aesthetically beautiful native Brown Trout, became an obsession that never waned.

I have lived in Finland for over eight years which gave me invaluable insights into pike fly fishing, the Nordics are traditionally known for their innovation and pushing boundaries. Various techniques and flies have been born there. Perch fly fishing is a prime recent example of this. I have also fished in England, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, across the US, South Africa and Kenya. 

Guide Pike and Trout

Brendan Sharkey the owner of Predator Fishing Ireland which is based in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. He has fished the rivers and lakes around Boyle since he was a child and has been guiding in the area for a number of years. He is an experienced pike and trout angler using both fly and lure. Brendan uses many different methods fishing for pike including fly-fishing, spinning and jerk baiting. Trout fishing methods also include fly-fishing, trolling and spinning.

Predator Fishing Ireland offers guided fishing trips to suit everyone’s needs.  From the novice fisherman to the experienced fisherman, Predator Fishing Ireland can meet all of your requirements.  We can provide guided fishing day trips or we can arrange holiday packages which can include packed/cooked lunches on the lake. Accommodation can also be arranged with a nearby B&B if required. Fishing equipment can also be hired if needed.
