Angling Service Providers

Our fleet contains 2 state of the art boats designed specifically for Rathmullan Charters and the needs our crew and passengers. Both boats are equipped with everything needed to provide you with the perfect fishing or touring experience.

Rathmullan Charters specialize in Wreck, Reef, Tope and Shark Fishing. We also provide Sight seeing & Corporate Trips, Evening Fishing Trips & Cruises.

Both boats were designed and purpose built for Rathmullan Charters to provide state of the art sea angling and leisure cruise services.

Boats are easily boarded via our own new floating pontoon.

Swilly Explorer

Rosguill

43′ Aquastar. Twin 310 HP

Base: Downings Operational area: Up to 40 miles out of base.

Notes: As well as excellent bottom, reef and wreck fishing there is Blue Shark (Season: July to October). Some good sized blue shark including the Skipper’s best of 124 pounds, caught in 1992.

Rosguill is a “State of the art” charter vessel equipped with twin 310 HP Caterpillar Diesel engines and all the best in electronic equipment.

Designed for the total comfort of her passengers, the RosGuill has:

• Fully functional galley
• Bench seats for 6 at a large table
• Extra large windows giving a feeling of airiness & spaciousness
• Roomy toilet with hand washing facilities
• 2 bunks
• Sheltered seating for 5 + behind wheelhouse
• Huge deck area
• Fully insured.

Rods, reels oilskins and tackle can be hired.

Base: Roundstone Operational area: Roundstone, Cleggan, Rossaveal.

Notes: Drift fishing over reefs yields Pollack, Ling, Cod, Coalfish, Wrasse and Mackerel and many others. Anchoring up and bottom fishing targets Ray and other flatfish. Over 20 different species can be caught and many groups thoroughly enjoy “Species Hunt” competitions. Blue shark are caught regularly and porbeagle can also be found.
