Sundays Kingspan National Pike Championships Qualifier was held on a mile stretch of the Finn River near Clones. 58 anglers turned up to fish the September Qualifying Competition of the 2011/12 Kingspan National Pike Championships. Club secretaries will be getting full results shortly. Most of the fish caught today were very small – less than a pound.
Best fish on the day was Jimmy Thompsons 14.5 pounder.
Check in and results were done in the Leggakelly Inn. They laid on a huge number and variety of excellent sandwiches and sausages. Many thanks to them. If you are fishing in the area do drop in for a drink or meal. They really do deserve our support.
