11/09 Water levels remained good all week in the Drowes. The river was fairly quiet this week with season ticket holders responsible for most of the angling effort.
There were a number of salmon recorded however over the weekend. On Saturday, John Parkinson recorded a 5½lb grilse caught on a spinner from the High Bank. On Sunday, young Andrew McDonald accounted for a 2½lb grilse caught on a spinner from the Terrace. Anthony Carr registered a 4lb grilse caught on worm from the Red Roof. Darryl Kennedy had a good day recording 4 grilse caught and released on shrimp from the Money Hole. Gary Morrow also had a good day with 3 salmon weighing 8, 9 & 10lb caught on shrimp from the High Bank and released again.
