Paul Burke and Danny Tiernan from www.Irishfishingtours.com had Dutch angler John DeKizer and son out for a day’s fishing on Saturday and while casting accounted for 16 pike with their best fish 13 lb. The following day the Dekizer’s reported 7 pike while trolling.
Lukas Vana and friend from the Slovakia Catch and Release club had some fantastic fishing over two days on the upper Derg and river Shannon reporting 38 pike with their best three fish weighing 18, 13, and 12lbs.
Nicola and his three friends, all from Italy and regular visitors to Ireland had 8 pike on lower Lough Derg during the week with a superb fish weighing 27 lb. while trolling.
Portumna :
Two Dublin anglers had over 50lbs of Roach and Hybrids on Sunday last upstream of Portumna bridge while Portumna and District anglers had the first leg of their 3 leg Boat House Cup Pike competition also on Sunday, Mark Harding claiming the spoils with a fine 13.5lbs fish.
