26/6/12 Straight to catch of the day and goes to Mr Peter Glover of Perth Scotland, who caught 3 salmon/grilse on the fly, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdon.com on the sea trout front nothing that would hit the headlines, wind SW fresh and overcast light misty rain throughout the day.

27/6/12 In the salmon department Mr. Peter Glover of Perth Scotland, takes all the head lines, Peter, caught a lightening fresh 6 lb. grilse on the fly, fishing with his ghillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com in the Sea Trout department Mr. Michael Wright fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught one sea trout which he sportingly put back, wind all over the place and overcast.

28/6/12 Mr. Michael Rieger of Germany caught a fine 7 lb. salmon on the troll fishing with his ghillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and of www.lakelandshouse.com now to the salmon fly department, Mr. Peter Glover of Perth Scotland, fishing with his ghillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com caught a fine 6 lb. grilse on the fly, now to the sea trout department, Mr. Michael Wright fishing with his ghillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught a sea trout on the troll, and his brother Mr. Tom O’Shea of [email protected] caught a small sea trout with his client, and staying with the sea trout, local ghillie Mr. Bob Priestley caught 3 sea trout / Juniors With his Client.                         

29/6/12 Straight to catch of the day and that goes to Mr. Michael Wright of the UK fishing with his ghillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught two fine salmon/grilse on the troll, ranging from 5 lb. up to 6 lb., now the Martin Heinz fishing party and fishing out of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Martin Heinz caught a fine 3 lb. sea trout on the fly, fishing in Frank’s hired out boat department, and his good friend Malcolm, fishing with his ghillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and of www.lakelandshouse.com caught a fine 5 lb. salmon/grilse and they finished their day off with a sea trout, all caught on the fly, now to the C&R of the day and that goes to Mr. Mark Doorman of Cork, who caught a fine 8 lb. sea trout on the fly and after a good fight, Mark sportingly put back my noble sea trout back to fight another day, and as always Mark was fishing with his ghillie Mr. Bob Priestley, Wind W light too fresh and overcast. Now we cut across the Valley to the River Inny, Mr. Michael Roden caught a cracker of a Salmon in the 10 lb. class and his Gillie the one and only the maestro himself Mr. Junior Scully finished their day off nicely with a salmon in the 6 lb. class, now we cut across back to Lough Currane and in the sea trout department, the Prince fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com caught a fine sea trout in the 4 lb. class on the fly.

30/6/12 It was a blustery day with a NW wind then veered W in afternoon and overcast with the odd shower and cold, I can tell you my noble salmon were in a taking mood, mind you Mr. Michael Rieger Germany would beg To differ and for good reason he caught a fine 6 lb. grilse on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and of www.lakelandshouse.com in the sea trout department just the odd Junior caught, now to the River Inny, Mr. Junior Scully reported to me that he and his client contacted 3 salmon and lost the lot, but at least the saw action.

1/7/12 Straight to the Mr. Jan Huisman who claimed himself the King of all the Salmon fishers on Lough Currane today and for good reason he caught his first ever Salmon on the troll weighing in at 6.5 lb. and this was confirmed by his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com All I can say is may it be the first of Many my Noble King, now to the Sea Trout department, there were a few boats out manipulating but no reports of anything substantial. Wind SW light and overcast with heavy rain this morning and again this evening. Now we cut across to the River Inny and their one sea trout caught by Mr. Michael Roden fishing with his Gillie Mr. Junior Scully.

2/7/12 Mr. Leslie Sheil of Dublin caught a fine 5 lb. grilse on the troll, fishing with his ghillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and @ [email protected] in the Sea Trout department there were a few boats manipulating their flies but no reports of any big baskets. That is your ration for this week, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville fishery. No Spin No Fly’s just facts
