Bernard Devenney reports that salmon and sea-trout angling is continuing to improve on the River Fane. Water conditions at present are excellent and there are good numbers of sea-trout and an increasing number of fresh salmon arriving into the river. Anglers known to have caught salmon during the past week include Gerry McCormick Jun., Kevin Maguire and Conor Flynn all from Dundalk. Despite the favourable conditions, the numbers of anglers fishing on the river at present is surprisingly low.
