Lough O’Flynn and Lough Ree by John Devaney
Ballinlough and District Angling Club fished the Garvey Cup competition on Lough O’Flynn on Sunday last under difficult conditions, cold northerly wind persisted throughout. In all five boats took part and the joint winners were John Connolly and Daniel McDermott with a 1 lb. 8 oz fish each. Fishing has cooled off on Lough Ree with the Mayfly season coming to an end. Lough Acalla is fishing well with plenty of anglers out over the weekend.
