Lough Lene’s pike are providing plenty of sport according to Michael Flanagan…

Lough Lene Club member Tommy Buggy of Kilkenny was in Town last week with angling pal Keith Wenham also of Kilkenny. The lads are angling mad and love the trips to Westmeath.

Keith is a top class photographer, and has taken some fantastic shots all over Ireland on his Angling adventures. I met the lad as they took shelter from the wind on Lene last week, and caught Keith and Tommy on Camera. The “Bug” as he is known to his friends had some nice pike, and Keith boated a fine trout.

Thats a Take. Yep the pike are on the Move as the water temperature drops. This underwater shot shows a pike taking a reel Eel lure.I hope to do a Winter pike special soon on my Angling site, so watch out for more eye catching photographs.
