Fishing on the Rye Lake still remains on the quiet side with still no reports of the larger Pike which were caught before Christmas featuring again.

Out on the lake yesterday were members of the Irish Wolfhounds squad due to face England on Friday.  While good fun was had by all fishing with a wide variety of lures & spoons only had limited success with a couple of smaller fish being returned.

Good luck to the Irish Wolfounds to play England tomorrow

I have been told that Pike fishing can be slow in January so hopefully with the promise of milder weather and with spring just around the corner we will soon see fishing on this stretch as good as it had been in late autumn.

Please purchase permits prior to fishing at hotel reception.  Maps are available and parking is at the boathouse.
