Lindsey Clarke reports on the salmon angling at Lough Melvin…
Monday 8th to Sunday 14th April 2013.
Lough Melvin remained very low and very quiet. There were few boats that ventured out after salmon. Ernie Lowden did record a 10lb salmon caught trolling from between the County River & Ward’s Point but that seems to be it!
The last two days have brought sun and air temperatures have risen appreciably. If we can get rid of these gale force winds the lough should really fish well.
