Sea angling from Sean Carty in Donegal:

Fishing in Donegal bay this week was very good also with reports in from the Bundoran star off plenty of mackeral , coalies , wrasse , pouting and good pollock up to 7lb in weight  . Bundoran S A C  had a club comp on Sunday and reports from this were also of good fishing with the winner on the day being Boris Siegal . Fishing on the shore this week has also been good with plenty of Sea trout , flounder , Wrasse , pollock and odd pockets of mackeral coming in.

There is also good sport to be had on the piers with plenty of good mullet about and at the time of writing Bundoran star skipper Patrick O Doherty is after catching one about 3.5lb . these fish are great fighters on light gear and most anglers return them to the water unharmed . With the weather warming up again this week there should be plenty of mackeral to be had from the shore .

Well known angler and fly tier held a fly tying demo in Cartys Land and Sea Sports on Saturday , it was a great event and was attended by about 50 anglers , fly tyers and Beginers and throughout the day alot of tips and secrets were passed around. We hope to make these events a more regular fixture so watch this space .

Compliments of:
