Peter Cunningham from the Drogheda Angling Centre reports on a number of recent sea angling outings on the County Louth Coastline. The fishing has been tough enough but as always Peter managed some nice fishing and some interesting catches including some very small schoolie bass. Catches included flounder, turbot and bass. A large eel (circa 5lbs) was also caught and some whiting. A number of very small schoolie bass in the 10cm range were caught and Peter says that he has not seen bass this size for years. The two biggest bass caught during the sessions measuring 40 and 43cm respectively. One of Peters fishing buddies Rory had eight flounder all in the mid teens in one session. Peter reckons that the fishing is set to improve over the coming weeks.
