Kit Dunne of Wicklow Boat Charters reports that many species have been turning up recently, with a few quite rare ones, and the regular specimen tope have also shown up.
Recent trips off Wicklow have produced 15 species for one group, with some rare ones. Red Mullet have shown up on a number of occasions, while Red Bream also made an appearance twice. The regular Black Bream came to a few groups lately, one just 1cm off Irish Specimen Length, and a Rockcook Wrasse showed last week.

The regulars are coming along nicely, with Tope, Huss, Hounds, Ray, Gurnard, etc coming in. Congratulations to Samantha Flynn on her first length-based specimen Tope at 159cm, and to the Tyrell group on 5 fine tope, including another specimen at 160cm. And of course the first Specimen Hound 2026 went to Tom Lynch a few weeks ago in Wicklow Bay.

Mackerel & Herring have disappeared in the last few weeks, and the Huss have gone quiet after a dozen caught on a trip mid-June.
