Hamish Currie reports on porbeagle and skate catches on the Predator II…
A big week with some big fish has taken place from Red Bay first up was a shark hunt and again another porbeagle was taken not the largest but a nice fish all the same by Jim Walsh from Dublin.  Second up in the week was Paul Strange from Carrick-Fergus specimen hunters with a stunning common skate at 203lbs taken in very deep water.  Paul’s fish was taken using a whole dogfish and Jim’s shark was taken using a live cod as bait.  More shark trips were planned but the strong northerlies will put a dampener on it I’m afraid.    I suppose I can’t complain at this time of year.
