Richie is the Australian's favourite guide

Cork guide Richie Ryan is a favourite with the Australians.  On Sunday his client Tony Di Paolo landed a cracking 6lb Bass on a Fiish Black Minnow on board the charterboat Eire Bass.
At one mark the guide was showing the anglers how to use a soft plastic lure for bass. He cast a small distance so as they could see how the lure works. As the lure hit the water a 5 lb bass hit, fish on !

The guide also relates a story the tourists told of buying a map here when a woman offered to show them where the town was. She drove all the way to the location in her own car with the 2 anglers following. It’s great to see our “friendly” tag is still well and truly established.
