Some fantastic stream enhancement work has taken place in recent times on the Yellow River which enters Derravaragh near Coolure. Derravaragh anglers in conjunction with I.F.I. completed this stream enhancement work. It was part funded by Derravaragh Angling club and Westmeath Community Development under the leader program. The Yellow River looks in great shape, and it was certainly a job well done.
