The River Barrow Piker was in fine form after a night spent dreaming about “prehistoric Esox monsters” he set off for pastures new to the wonderful Carton House in Co. Kildare. With guide Rob Love at his side, both anglers headed to the Rye lake, which is well known for it’s big pike. Drifting out the lake into the deep water Roly was delighted when a beautifully formed Rye jack paid him a visit. The day was certainly one to remember.
