Alan Kelly was the winner of Leg 6 of Galway Buccaneers shore master angler series which was fished at the weekend. It was Alan’s first win of the series and it keeps him in the mix in the overall standings. After struggling with some weed that was in front of his peg initially, Alan Kelly found a hole with dogfish in it and plucked out half a dozen for 40 points a piece. They were enough to see off Conor Mountaine on the next peg who was in double figures with a mixed bag of Flounder, Turbot, Coalfish and Whiting.
Elsewhere Rob King got off to a flyer with a cracking Flounder along with Turbot, Coalfish and Whiting but unfortunately things went quite after that for Rob. John Peel who was on the end peg had a tough day at the office and sadly drew a blank.
