Lindsey Clarke from the Ballyshannon office reports that the Owenea Fishery started the week ending 25 May with reasonable water and the gauge reading 0.20 metres. However, as the week progressed there was little in the way of rainfall and the river steadily dropped. By Sunday, we had returned to very low levels with the gauge only registering 0.09 metres. The gauge average for the week was low reading only 0.14 metres. I have no news of any salmon caught to date. The forecast is for some rain next week and hopefully this will equate to some nice water levels.
