Patrick Delapp caught a fine salmon Ā at the Screebe Fishery in Connemara on 23 May. The water was very high and the huge fish,Ā which weighed in at 22.1lb,Ā put up a great fight.
There have been 4Ā salmon caught since then between 7 and 3 pounds.
The river hasĀ dropped back now andĀ the salmonĀ have moved upĀ into the lake again. It could be a good year ahead…
