LAUNE SALMON AND TROUT ANGLERS’ ASSOCIATION WATERS AND BEAT 3
Angling Report 5th May (Email to Laune Angling Report)
Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers’ Association waters and Beat 3.
A slight rise in the water level yesterday was good but it coloured the river considerably and spoiled angling opportunities for some.
Up to mid week last week there were reports of fish being caught and met. After that news of fish of any kind was very scarce. The apparent absence of sea trout is disappointing. Some anglers are having some sport at least with brown trout.
There were four fish reported for the week.
Permits for Laune Anglers waters right now cost only €25 per day.
Beat 3: Water on Beat 3 is ideal for all methods and there is always a chance of a fish when the water is at this height. There was one reported from Beat 3.

Prospects: Good, there are always a few fish running the Laune especially in this water.
Anglers please note: A ‘One Day’ salmon permit for Beat 3 only costs €25 probably the best value in salmon fishing in the country with a good chance of a fish when the water is right.
