Brian Stevens, Slaney River Trust, reports on the last week’s fishing on the Slaney…

As the river level dropped very slowly through out the week the lower beats continued to pick up a few fish mostly still on fast sink tips and / or small brass tubes. I have only had reports from 3 beats with 16 fish landed in the week.  On angler had 3 in an evening as he hit a pod moving through.
