Bluebell Community Angling Club found the sunshine and enjoyed the day at Blessington:
Well yesterday saw the last trip of the year. Returning to Blessington Lakes due to the flooding over the last few days in Concra Wook Muckno. 12 members faced the trip which turned out to be a great day with fabulous weather.
We held the prize giving for the course season and the trophies were awarded. We also held the club’s Annual Christmas raffle, with prizes to the value of over €350 including 2 Turkey vouchers, 2 Ham vouchers, Meat vouchers, Breakfast pack voucher, Samsun phone, Pike kit, Box of sweets, Haircuts and hot shaves, Spray tan & Nail and hair vouchers…the list goes on. We would like to thank all the sponsors for these generous prizes and to our own club for providing some of them.
There was one fish lost and one landed by John Bolger with a weight of 11lb 4ozs, seeing him win the one remaining surprise envelope with contained a voucher for a ham for the heaviest fish of the day. Well done to him.
We hope to see everybody at the Christmas Party on the 18th – A night at the dogs in Shelbourne Park.
Go Fishing….
