The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs report:

The Final of the Southside Angling Junior National Pike Championships will be held this Saturday 5th September on 2 adjoining lakes on the Kingscourt / Shercock Road. There are 3 sections, under 8, under 13 and under 18. To take part in the Final the angler must have qualified at one of the qualifiers.
The Southside Angling Junior Inter Club Team Championships will be held at the same time. Clubs can enter as many 4 member teams as they like. In this team event competitors do not have to have qualified to fish in the Junior Pike Championships Final. Entry is FREE and there will be a FREE barbi for all afterwards.
The lakes to be fished are Cornalara and Greaghlone which are on the Kingscourt/Shercock Road. Cornalara is right beside the main road at a cross roads. The check in is at Greaghlone lake which is behind Cornalara, Just take the road going along the side of Cornalara. Meet at the lakeshore car park 9.30 to 10.30 for fishing 11 to 3. The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs (IFPAC) is a body representing pike anglers in Ireland, North and South.The IFPAC was founded on 17th January 1988 at a meeting held at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan. The membership for that year stood at fifteen clubs representing six hundred anglers, today membership of IFPAC is approaching 100 affiliated clubs representing in excess of seven thousand anglers from all walks of life.
