Angling guide Michael Flanagan was chatting to some of the Glore Anglers are the weekend, and unfortunately a late decision had to be made on their pike competition penciled in for last Sunday December 6th. This North-Westmeath Lake located just a few miles outside Castlepollard is fed by the Glore River which his the main access point for anglers. The Glore Angling Club members along with I.F.I. have done some fantastic work in recent years putting in a launching area for boats and a huge platform for mooring boats. The Glore River is very high, and access to both the stands and slipway is next to impossiable. Members will be contacted by text as soon as water levels settles, and the competition will take place at a later date.
