James O’Hara of the Lansdown Road Pub in Cheltenham was back over for a few days taking in the Ireland v England rugby game. James loves his fishing and chilled out with a few hours spinning for pike last Saturday.
We had a great bit of fun catching some nice pike on hard baits, plus a few on rubber lures. James was featured late in 2014 in Angling Focus with some cracking Ennell pike, and I believe a lovely print is up in the Lansdown Road Pub.
If any of my fellow Midlanders are over for the Cheltenham Races and passing the Lansdown Road Pub, drop in and check it out. Just mention fishing and Mullingar and if James is there I reckon you will be well looked after.
