The Predator Tour on Lough Derg finished last week. Congratulations to winners Bartosz Schoen and Krzysztof Sibiga who’s winning catch was 4 pike, 3 perch and 1 trout with a total length of 501.5 cm.
Local guide Pierre Montjarret was third in the competition and would have wished to have some of the fishing he had in the last couple of days during the event…
30/09/15: Crazy day today! 11 fish over 90 cm and 3 over 1 meter including a new PB for Jean-Marc of 111cm and another big one for Stephane 107cm happy days for my group !!! We also had good action on Tuesday when Stephane caught his PB of 109.5cm on wolf tail. What a fight!
Paul Bourke of Iris Fishing Tours was also out yesterday and he found the big fish to very cautious, being content to follow but not strike the lures. A change to a Hard Eel in golden ambulance was the only colour that worked on the day.
Over the weekend French and Irish anglers fishing with TJs Angling Centre enjoyed the glorious weather on Lough Derg whiole catching some decent pike. French angler Jerome was particularly happy with his new PB of 90cm.
One of the biggest pike reprorted from the lake in the last couple of weeks was caught by René van Vegten. Fishing with Hermann Molenaar, René had a super pike of 112cm.
