Eileen Carroll, IFI Macroom, reports that for the past three 3 weeks about 18 salmon, mostly peel, were landed.  Most of these were landed last week averaging 2lbs – 4lbs.  Best methods flies and spinning.

RIVER LEE ESB FISHERY

19 July: Three anglers from Co. Antrim, Ryan Richardson, Stephen Richardson and Jim Richardson, between them had 10 salmon including some peel for the week, ranging from 3.5lbs up to 9lbs, landed on shrimp.  Noel Kavanagh, Cork, had 1 salmon weighing 5lbs landed on a fly.  An unknown angler returned a peel of 2.5lbs.
