The week brought very sunny bright conditions with variable winds which were light for the most part. Angling pressure was light on the lough. There was little trout angling effort although there was a lovely 9.5lb trout trolling a Rapala lure caught by a visiting angler staying at the Lareen.
On Wednesday, Niall Sweeney reported a 9lb salmon caught. On Thursday, Robbie Hare reported a 9lb salmon caught trolling off Ward’s Point and Noel Johnston caught and released 2 salmon of 9lb each caught trolling the Planting Shore.
