Unsettled and wet weather had put water levels up on the River Boyne during the last couple of weeks but over the weekend local angling guide Peter Cunningham paid a visit to the lower section of the river to see what conditions were like currently on the Rossin, Slane and District Anglers waters. The water had dropped and cleared so Peter tried a short fishing session on the fly, a session that produced a lovely 12lb fish for him. The fish was played carefully and returned to the water to recuperate before being released to continue its upstream journey.
