Shane Gallagher, fishery manager at the Drowes Salmon Fishery reports:

8th May – Fishing has been reasonably good since the start of May with multiple fish reported each day and over 30 fish recorded since the start of the month. Water levels are just beginning to drop slowly following heavy rain all day Tuesday which saw levels peak at 0.78 metres on Wednesday. The majority of fish have been taken on spinners, flying cs and Rapalas, although there was a fish taken on a #8 super snelda from the Mill pool this morning.

Conditions are good today, it has been overcast but a little cold. At time of writing 2 fish have been reported today. An 8lbs fish on fly from the Mill pool and a 7lbs fish on red flying c from the Round Hole.
The forecast is for milder conditions over the weekend with blustery showers and more persistent rain on Sunday.
