Maria Fasching caught her first ever salmon and carefully relesed it

Ian Powell of Blackwater Lodge reports anglers on his beats had two very fresh grilse last Thursday. One on fly on the upper river by Maria Fasching from Germany, her First Ever Salmon. Three fish (all on fly on the upper river) were landeded on Friday including a First Ever for Walter Schilling & a First on Fly for Robert Kennedy. There was one fish on fly from the upper river beats on Saturday and one on spinner before the floods came on.  After a dirty flood the river began to clear and two very fresh grilse were caught for just 4 rod days on Monday.
