Jason Hughes of Rossin, Slane and District Angling Association tells us he landed his first salmon of the season.
It was on Wednesday 29th July on the river Boyne when he decided to try his luck for the last few hours before sunset.
Jason tells us “I was just about to pack it up, when I hooked into this lovely 8lb Salmon.
The fish gave a great account of itself making several great runs before being landed. Fish returned fit and well !!!”
