The Owenea ran at low levels all week once again. We did receive some rainfall over the week but it was insufficient to have any beneficial effects for angling. The gauge was only reading 0.12m on Monday and the river had dropped to 0.10m by Tuesday. The gauge then ‘hovered’ around this level for the rest of the week. The gauge average for the week was low reading only 0.09 metres. The river was understandably quiet and only 10 visiting rods fished for the week. I have no news of any salmon catches to date.
