Lindsey Clarke reports from the RIVER DROWES – Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th February 2015.
The Drowes ran at nice levels over the week. The gauge read 0.86 on Monday and the river fell nicely over the week as a spell of high pressure weather set in. By Sunday the gauge was reading 0.73. Water temperatures remained low however hovering just above 5°C. The fishery was fairly quiet and there were no salmon recorded this week. There was a fresh salmon hooked and lost on Sunday however. The high pressure is forecast to continue into the coming week which will give some pleasant conditions out on the river bank.
