Sharon Shanahan from Fortwilliam Fishery on the Munster Blackwater reports that river conditions are a little bit difficult at the moment. but that they are still taking fish on a daily basis…

Nick Rowe landed a 4lb fish and released and lost another fish off the Castle Beat.

Tim Evans Jones caught a 5lb fish off the Ellis Beat and a 3lb sea trout. James Tobin landed a fish of 5lb on fly and a 6lb off the Beech Tree. Fergus Crawford had a fish of 4lb off the Castle Beat and John Gillian also had 2 fish off the Castle Beat.

Water Clarity is about 5ft plus and the gauge is reading .20.

There were some big fish reported from the Blackwater Lodge water too on Friday. Ian Powell reports five salmon to 13lb were landed by anglers on their beats. On Wednesday two double figure salmon were caught and released.
