Enda Fields of the Emy and District Anglers reports on another successful annual spring clean around Emy Lough & mountain river. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped out on Saturday April 25th, namely Leo McMahon, John Finn, Pat Mc Kenna, Niall Fields, Karen Keenan Fields, Aoibheann Fields, Martin Mc Kenna and Stephen Cassidy. Once again we encountered loads of rubbish around Emy lake shoreline and blockages/rubbish in mountain/mill race river. The river level was very high and due to health & safety reasons only a small area of the river was cleaned. We need to follow up cleaning rivers in the coming weeks. Volunteers are required asap. Please let us know if you can help for an hour and we will organise a suitable day/time. Thank you .
