Lough Derg is really producing good pike fishing at the moment. OVer the weekend and during the early part of this week good numbers of pike and big pike were being reported by anglers across the lake.

On Sunday conditions were not great  but Favien from France, fishing with TJ Angling Centre,  managed a personal best with this fish of 1.01 cm taken on a large pig shad.

Pierre Monjarret is in the thick of the action. Last week he passed his favourite milestone of the year – 100 pike over 100cm to the boat.  Highlights this week include two lovely pike of 101cm and 105cm on Monday and 15 pike to the boat yesterday, 7 of which were between 96 and 101cm.
