Local pike Guide Barry Darby had a few friends out fishing last week, and boated some huge pike. Peter Braithwaite from South Africa rattled the nets with huge pike well into high double figures. Barry has certainly clocked up a huge number of pike already this season, and a 30lbs specimen just might be on the cards. Just looking at the Specimen report of 2015 no lake specimen pike were recorded, and only 3 River specimen pike were caught. Two of these came from the River Shannon and one from the Barrow.
