Angling guide Peter Cunningham has been in contact to let us know that some of his French clients had a nice bit of pike fishing yesterday and today in the north east. Although conditions have not been ideal for pike anglers Dominic and Jean-Jacques from the south of France had 7 nice pike on Wednesday 22nd June with the best measuring 87cm. All of the fish were taken on lures and were very hard fighting. The water is low and clear and some rain would help matters.

The lads were back in action again today Thursday and had a couple of fish up to lunchtime one on a lure and the other on a dead-bait. According to Peter one good high double fish was lost. The fish battled vey hard and eventually won its freedom by throwing the hooks.
