The Leinster Pike Angling club report from their Winter league final which was held on Sunday:
Massive well done to Lloyd Lynch on retaining the title. To win the league once is a massive achievement , never mind 2 years running. Super Angling and well deserved.

Also a massive well done to Larry McCowen on winning the heaviest fish with a cracking river 20 weighing in at 20lb 01oz. Which is also the first ever 20 to come out in our club trips since we started in March 2014.

Top 10 of the league are as follows.
- 1st – Lloyd Lynch 136pts
- 2nd – Paul Church 126pts
- 3rd – Ian Church 124pts
- 4th – Rodney Gaynor 120pts
- 5th – Dave Moody 119pts
- 6th – Albert McNamara 117pts
- 7th – John Molloy 116pts
- 8th – Jay Cooke 111pts
- 9th – Fran Crosbie 105pts
- 10th – Leigh Mooney 91pts
Top 3 heaviest fish –
- 1st Larry McCowen – 20lb 01oz
- 2nd Joe Featherston – 19lb 01oz
- 3rd Kev McGee – 16lb 12oz

Big congratulations to everyone that took part. Some super fishing was done over the last 5 months. I usually would congratulate the top 3 but in this case I’ll have to congratulate the top 4. Well done lads.
We also run an Angler of the year prize which is done on a points system. We use your best 10 comps out of the 12 we run threw out the year and add up all the points at the end. This was our first year to try this and a massive amount of work was done by Ian Church to keep all the records and do out all the points. Thanks for all your hard work.
Angler of the year – Dave Moody with 2 wins, 5 × 2nds, 1 × 3rd, 1 × 5th, 1 × 10th.
Go fishing…
