Carrick-on-Suir  & District Angling club are seeing good fish in the River Suir lately.

Mick Tobin caught and released a big fantastic 20lb approx. springer on club waters on Thursday.

On Monday it was the turn of James Byrne to catch a beautiful fresh fish estimated around 13/14lb.  James caught the fish late in the evening in tough conditions. He also got a great video of the fish being released which can be seen on the Carrick on Suir facebook page

On Sunday June 5th the club are pleased to announce well known fly casting instructor Jason O’Riordan will be giving casting advice and tips at the Carrick on Suir Angling Club stretch on the River Suir. Jason is an International Federation of Fly Fishers Casting Instructor and also a member of the Mackenzie Team Ireland. Jason will be on hand to demonstrate and answer all your questions between 10am and 1pm at Murry boreen for trout and salmon and all club members and non members are welcome and we strongly encourage any junior members and non junior members who wish to improve or wishing to take up fly fishing to come along.
