Paddy Halpin, IFI reports from the Felae where they had a huge flood on Sunday evening after the heavy rain…
The river was coloured and high again on Monday, so there was no fishing until Tuesday. Since then we had a good few anglers out and we had 4 fish reported caught for the week and 3 good fresh fish released.
On Tuesday Joe Hurley, Newcastlewest had a lovely fresh run fish of 10lbs on the spinner.
The following day saw John McNama from Lixnaw get a good fresh fish of 12lbs caught while spinning. William O’Connell, also from Lixnaw, got a nice fish of about 6lbs on the spinner.
The other lucky angler for the week was Tom O’Shea who had a nice fresh fish of about 9lbs caught while spinning.
The fish released were caught by Stephen Prendiville who had a lovely fresh run fish of about 6lbs and James Almann also released a nice fresh fish of about 7lbs both these fish were got on the fly.
Water levels are still dropping at the moment and is now good fly water.
