Shane Gallagher reports from Drowes Fishery yesterday:

A week into the new season and we are still waiting for the first salmon of 2016. Despite very heavy rain overnight and hailstone showers today, the water level has dropped to 0.864 metres on the gauge. There were a few rods out today but no reports of fresh fish seen. The weather forecast is for colder, drier conditions up to Wednesday of next week.
